The workshop was very useful to us. It is very interesting and informative. Am sure it will help us in future for doing our best.Thank you sir for your great support. Making acquaintance with various applications google provided   PREPARING A WORD DOCUMENT
This takes us half a day to prepare a word document and converting it to a apa format.we were very sure about this work that this will be very useful for our future academic works especially during our dissertation completion.our Professor Sajan sir helped us a lot in correcting each sections and clarifying our doubts. It helps the students to develop all skills.
PREPARING A POWERPOINT
Preparing a powerpoint was quite interesting one.to include images, videos etc. made it interesting and creative.this gave us a wide understanding about presenting a powerpoint editing image, audio file and video files:our recorded audio was edited using audacity software and video files was also edited using suitable softwares such as video cutters.Images are also downloaded and then edited.
PREPARING AN EXCEL SHEET
An excel sheet was prepared by us according to the guidance of our teacher.we had entered the data such as time taken for each item in a day.also total time taken for each item during  days.
PREPARATION OF BLOG
ICT workshop being conducted at NSSTC Ottapalam is a very informative. Things being taught here are very helpful for our future. This helps us to prepare ourselves for the presentation of a good dissertation. The practical works being conducted here helps us to practice and learn things rather than just learning theory. Interesting sessions conducted today was introduction of Audacity the audio editing software and photoshop.

Several Google apps was also introduced in this workshop.
25 students are actively participate in the workshop.. An editing software is presented for them audacity..students are actively involved in the collaborative work for the preparation of workshop report using google docs.Various techniques for preparing each MS office software was provided. This workshop is a good opportunity to brush up the contents practiced before.
A software to create quiz was introduced which is called “Kahoot”. Quiz program was also conducted based on the topics discussed in the workshop. By participating in that we could understand how interesting we could make our teaching learning experience effective and enjoyable by including such softwares in our teaching. Many other useful apps were also introduced some of them are Samagra, which is the government educational portal where we can get text books of any medium and of any classes. Audacity, it is a software used for sound editing. Photoshop, it is a software used for image editing. DU recorder, this software can be used to record our voice and video synchronising with the PowerPoint presentation that we have already created. Classroom, what work as a digital classroom Anydesk, it is an app which is similar to the TeamViewer which is used in systems where a user can access another system or a mobile phone which is at any distance. Pocketbook, this is an App in which all the documents are collected and brought down to a single app and we can use it as a digital book. App4statistics  this is an app which helps for statistical learning. Photomath this is awesome software by which we can scan a problem that is on a paper and that provides us within answer. Some of the apps that we require in our daily life were also introduced some of them include a duplicate file fixer which helps us to fix the duplicate files that are there in our mobile and occupies more space this app delete all the other duplicate file. Call scheduler is an App in which we can schedule a particular time to call a particular person. Paytm is a very useful app where we can pay from anywhere. Where is my trainis an app in PlayStore which helps us to know Where are train has reached and their usages were also discussed. Introduction of such useful apps were so resourceful for us.

NOTE ON KURTOSIS

LEARNING MATERIAL FOR KURTOSIS

Kurtosis
In probability theory and statistics, kurtosis is the measure of the tailedness of the probability distribution of a real valued random variable.  In a similar way to the concept of skeweness, kurtosis is a description of the shape of a probability distribution and, just as for skewness, there are different ways of quantifying it for a theoretical distribution and corresponding ways of estimating it from a sample from a population.  Kurtosis is a statistical measure that is used to describe the distribution.  Kurtosis measures extreme values in either tail.  The degree of tailedness of a distribution is measured by kurtosis.  It tells us the extent to which the distribution is more or less outlier-prone than the normal distribution.  Kurtosis is a measure of the combined sizes of the two tails.  It measures the amount of probability in the tails.  The value is often compared to the kurtosis of the normal distribution, which is equal to 3.  If the kurtosis is greater than 3, then the dataset has heavier tails than a normal distribution (more in the tails).  If the kurtosis is less than 3, then the dataset has lighter tails than a normal distribution (less in the tails).  Kurtosis is sometimes reported as “excess kurtosis.”  Excess kurtosis is determined by subtracting 3 form the kurtosis.  This makes the normal distribution kurtosis equal 0.  Kurtosis originally was thought to measure the peakedness of a distribution.   Though you will still see this as part of the definition in many places, this is a misconception.
Definition of kurtosis
Kurtosis is defined by may eminent persons major definitions are given below.  “Kurtosis is the degree of peakedness of a distribution” – Wolfram MathWorld.  “We use kurtosis as a measure of peakedness (or flatness)” – Real Statistics Using Excel.  You can find other definitions that include peakedness or flatness when you search the web.
The problem is these definitions are not correct.  Dr. Peter Westfall published an article that addresses why kurtosis does not measure peakedness (link to article).  He said: “Kurtosis tells you virtually nothing about the shape of the peak – its only unambiguous interpretation is in terms of tail extremity.”  Dr. Westfall includes numerous examples of why you cannot relate the peakedness of the distribution to the kurtosis.  Dr. Donald Wheeler also discussed this in his two-part series on skewness and kurtosis.  He said: “Kurtosis was originally thought to be a measure the “peakedness” of a distribution.  However, since the central portion of the distribution is virtually ignored by this parameter, kurtosis cannot be said to measure peakedness directly.  While there is a correlation between peakedness and kurtosis, the relationship is an indirect and imperfect one at best.”  Dr. Wheeler defines kurtosis as: “The kurtosis parameter is a measure of the combined weight of the tails relative to the rest of the distribution.”  So, kurtosis is all about the tails of the distribution – not the peakedness or flatness.  It measures the tail-heaviness of the distribution.
Types of kurtosis. The kurtosis are of three different types mesokurtic, leptokurtic and platykurtic.  All of these types explains ho the kurtosis value is deviating from the normal distribution.  Mesokurtic distributions are technically defined as having kurtosis of zero, although the distribution doesn’t have to be exactly zero in order for it to be classified as mesokurtic.  A leptokurtic distribution has excess positive kurtosis, here the kurtosis is greater than 3.  The tails are fatter than the normal distribution.  Platykurtic distributions have negative kurtosis.  The tails are very thin compared to the normal distribution.
